Sample lock on x nuclei experiments close to 2H frequency

The 2H lock cannot be used for an experiment for Yb because resonancefrequency of 171Yb and 2H is very close.2H lock uses band elimination filter for LF channel to eliminate aninfluence of 2H frequency.

Spectrometer automatically bypass this filter for an experiment of thenuclei of close resonance frequency to 2H, and then 2H lock isautomatically turned off.

From your sent value, pw90 of 171Yb should be calculated as following.pw90(171Yb) = {freq(29Si)/freq(171Yb)}^(1/2) * pw90(29Si) =(19.8671/17.4993)^0.5 * 14.8 = 15.8 usec at 9.8db
